  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Roast Brussels sprouts for 20-25 minutes, until caramelized and tender.
  • In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Toast bread slices until golden brown.
