Description

This rich and creamy cheesecake features a buttery graham cracker crust, a velvety cream cheese filling, and a tangy sour cream topping. Perfect for the holiday season!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and salt. Pour this mixture over the prepared crust.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 55 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set and slightly golden on top. Allow it to cool.
  • In a small bowl, combine sour cream, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread this mixture evenly over the top of the cheesecake.
  • Return the cheesecake to the oven and bake for an additional 12 minutes.
  • After baking, chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator before serving.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, you can top the cheesecake with fresh berries, crushed candy canes, or a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce.
  • Be sure to let the cheesecake cool completely before refrigerating to avoid condensation.
