- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Whipped cream and extra chocolate chips for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, egg, and vegetable oil.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve with whipped cream and extra chocolate chips on top.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract to the batter.
- If you like your pancakes extra chocolatey, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top of the pancakes while cooking.
