- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup strong black coffee
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow cupcakes to cool before frosting.

- You can top these cupcakes with your favorite frosting, like chocolate ganache or cream cheese frosting.
