Indulge in this creamy and decadent Homemade Chocolate Layer Dessert, made with a buttery graham cracker crust, a sweet cream cheese layer, a rich chocolate pudding layer, and topped with fluffy Cool Whip. A perfect treat for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 oz) container Cool Whip
  • 2 (3.9 oz) packages chocolate instant pudding
  • 3 cups milk
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter together. Press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan.
  • In a separate bowl, mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and 1 1/2 cups of Cool Whip. Spread over the graham cracker crust.
  • In another bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and milk. Pour over the cream cheese layer.
  • Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the pudding layer.
  • Garnish with chocolate shavings if desired. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra rich flavor, you can add a layer of chopped chocolate or chocolate chips between the cream cheese and pudding layers.
  • You can substitute homemade whipped cream for Cool Whip if preferred.
