  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine peaches and sugar. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Melt butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and milk. Pour over melted butter.
  5. Spoon peaches over the batter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
