Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the water, vegetable oil, vinegar, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
