- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the water, vegetable oil, vinegar, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, you can frost the cake with chocolate ganache or whipped cream.
