  • Author: Catalina
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 9 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

These fudgy football-shaped brownies are the perfect game day treat! Made with rich chocolate and a smooth ganache topping, these brownies are not only delicious but also fun to look at, decorated with football laces made of white chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box brownie mix
  • ½ cup oil
  • ⅓ cup hot coffee
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • ⅓ cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper. For thicker brownies, use an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, oil, coffee, and egg. Whisk until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting them into football shapes using a football cookie cutter. If they are soft, place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet and freeze for 10-15 minutes to make them easier to handle.
  • In a medium bowl, add the chocolate chips and pour the hot heavy cream (microwaved for 30-45 seconds) over them. Let it sit for a few minutes, then whisk to combine and create a smooth ganache.
  • Dip the tops of the football brownies into the ganache, then place them back on the baking sheet. Repeat for all brownies.
  • In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second increments, stirring in between.
  • Transfer the melted white chocolate to a piping bag (or a Ziploc bag with the tip cut off) and pipe football laces on top of each brownie.
  • Allow the brownies to set in the fridge before serving.

Notes

  • Brownie Edge Scraps: Use leftover brownie scraps to snack on, top ice cream, or make a brownie milkshake!
  • Customization: For thicker brownies, use a smaller pan. For extra decoration, you can drizzle extra ganache over the top of the brownies.
