Description
Rose Milk is a fragrant and refreshing drink that combines the sweetness of rose syrup with the creaminess of milk. Popular in many South Asian countries, it’s the perfect beverage to cool down on a hot day or to enjoy as a sweet treat. With its delicate floral flavor, it’s both soothing and satisfying.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cold milk (whole milk or any plant-based milk)
- 2–3 tablespoons rose syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, depending on the sweetness of the syrup)
- Ice cubes (optional)
- Crushed pistachios or almonds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Pour the cold milk into a glass or mixing jug.
- Add 2-3 tablespoons of rose syrup (adjust to your desired sweetness and intensity of flavor).
- Stir the mixture until the rose syrup is fully dissolved and the milk is pink.
- Taste and add sugar if additional sweetness is desired. Stir to combine.
- Optional: Add ice cubes to chill the drink if you prefer it cold.
- Pour into a serving glass and garnish with crushed pistachios or almonds if using.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- If you want a thicker consistency, use full-fat milk or a creamy plant-based alternative like coconut milk.
- You can adjust the amount of rose syrup to your preference – more syrup will give a stronger rose flavor.
- Rose Milk can also be served chilled or blended with ice for a slushier texture.
