Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb salmon fillet
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the cooking oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches each. Season the salmon pieces with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha sauce to create the Bang Bang sauce.
- Dip each piece of salmon into the sauce mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Then coat the salmon in Panko breadcrumbs for a crunchy exterior.
- Lightly beat the egg in a separate bowl.
- Dip the Panko-coated salmon into the beaten egg, then coat it once again in Panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Fry the salmon bites in the preheated oil for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the salmon bites from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of Sriracha based on your desired spice level.
- For a healthier alternative, you can bake the salmon bites at 400°F for 10-12 minutes instead of frying.
- Serve with extra Thai sweet chili sauce for dipping.
