Description

Deliciously crispy, golden brown salmon bites coated in a spicy and tangy Bang Bang sauce. Perfect as an appetizer or a main dish, these bites are a crowd-pleasing treat for seafood lovers!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  • Preheat the cooking oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches each. Season the salmon pieces with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha sauce to create the Bang Bang sauce.
  • Dip each piece of salmon into the sauce mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Then coat the salmon in Panko breadcrumbs for a crunchy exterior.
  • Lightly beat the egg in a separate bowl.
  • Dip the Panko-coated salmon into the beaten egg, then coat it once again in Panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • Fry the salmon bites in the preheated oil for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the salmon bites from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha based on your desired spice level.
  • For a healthier alternative, you can bake the salmon bites at 400°F for 10-12 minutes instead of frying.
  • Serve with extra Thai sweet chili sauce for dipping.
