- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook until the onion is translucent and softened.
- Stir in the chili powder, ground cumin, ground turmeric, and ground coriander, allowing the spices to toast for about 1 minute.
- Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until the chicken is browned on all sides.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, bring to a simmer, and let it cook for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Stir in the heavy cream and cook for another 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro before serving.
