- 10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed
- 1 (14 oz) can quartered artichoke hearts, drained
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pinch crushed red pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 dashes hot sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375ºF (190ºC).
- Squeeze excess water from the thawed spinach.
- In a large bowl, combine the spinach, artichoke hearts, 1 cup of mozzarella, Parmesan, and crushed red pepper.
- In a skillet, sauté the minced garlic in butter until fragrant.
- Add cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise to the garlic butter mixture, whisking until smooth.
- Stir in the hot sauce.
- Pour the cream mixture over the spinach and artichoke mixture. Stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a 2-quart casserole dish and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Serve hot with crackers, bread, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add more hot sauce or crushed red pepper.
- If using fresh spinach, make sure to wilt and squeeze out any excess water before using.
- You can prepare this dip ahead of time and refrigerate it before baking.
