Description

This Crockpot Mississippi Chicken is a savory, juicy, and tender dish with a perfect balance of tangy, creamy, and buttery flavors. Ingredients

  • 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter
  • 6 pepperoncini peppers

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix and ranch dressing mix over the chicken.
  • Place the stick of butter on top of the chicken.
  • Add the pepperoncini peppers on top (including juice if desired).
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds.
  • Shred the chicken using two forks and stir it into the sauce.
  • Serve the shredded chicken with mashed potatoes, rice, or as a filling for sandwiches.

Notes

  • For a milder flavor, reduce the number of pepperoncini peppers or omit the pepper juice.
