- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Break it up with a spoon as it cooks.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is softened and fragrant (about 3 minutes).
- Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juices) and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the pasta is evenly coated in the creamy sauce.
