  • 1 lb Italian sausage (remove casing if necessary)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Break it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is softened and fragrant (about 3 minutes).
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juices) and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
