Description
A creative twist on the classic burger, the Ham Lasagna Burger combines savory ground ham patties, melted mozzarella cheese, and rich spaghetti sauce on a toasted bun, bringing the flavors of lasagna into a delicious handheld treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground ham
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup spaghetti sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground ham, bread crumbs, milk, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Cook the patties on a grill or stovetop over medium heat, flipping halfway, until fully cooked (about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F/71°C).
- Once the patties are cooked, place a slice of Mozzarella cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt for about 1 minute.
- While the cheese melts, toast the hamburger buns lightly.
- Place each ham patty with melted mozzarella on the bottom half of the buns. Top with a generous spoonful of spaghetti sauce.
- Close the burgers with the top halves of the buns, serve hot, and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can also add some fresh basil or oregano to the spaghetti sauce for a more “Italian” feel.
- If you prefer, you can bake the patties in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
