These hearty, stuffed pasta shells are filled with a creamy ricotta and mozzarella mixture, paired with savory ground beef, and smothered in marinara sauce. Baked to perfection, this dish is a comforting family favorite.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 box jumbo pasta shells
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg. Mix until smooth.
- Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the cheese mixture and browned ground beef.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells on top of the sauce.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
- You can use ground turkey or chicken as a lighter alternative to beef.
