Ingredients
-
1 lb ground beef
-
8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 small onion, diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup beef broth
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 tsp paprika
-
Salt & pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Cook the Pasta:
Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. -
Cook the Beef:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat. -
Add the Aromatics:
Add the diced onion to the skillet with the beef and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant. -
Make the Sauce:
Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, then stir in the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, paprika, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the cheese is melted and the sauce thickens, about 4-5 minutes. -
Combine with Pasta:
Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, stirring to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more beef broth to reach your desired consistency.
-
Serve:
Serve the creamy beef and bowtie pasta in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
-
Customize: Feel free to add vegetables like spinach, peas, or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrition.
-
Make it Lighter: For a lighter version, you can use lean ground beef and substitute the heavy cream with a lighter cream or milk.
