  • Author: Catalina
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This creamy beef and bowtie pasta is a rich and comforting dish, featuring tender ground beef, pasta, and a luscious creamy sauce with a cheesy, savory finish. It’s quick to make and perfect for a weeknight meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta:
Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • Cook the Beef:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

  • Add the Aromatics:
Add the diced onion to the skillet with the beef and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Make the Sauce:
Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, then stir in the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, paprika, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the cheese is melted and the sauce thickens, about 4-5 minutes.

  • Combine with Pasta:
Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, stirring to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more beef broth to reach your desired consistency.

  • Serve:
Serve the creamy beef and bowtie pasta in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Customize: Feel free to add vegetables like spinach, peas, or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrition.

  • Make it Lighter: For a lighter version, you can use lean ground beef and substitute the heavy cream with a lighter cream or milk.
