Description

These festive Brownie Christmas Cringles cookies are rich, chewy, and dusted with powdered sugar, perfect for your holiday gatherings. With a fudgy texture and a hint of walnut crunch, these cookies are a delightful twist on traditional brownies!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease cookie sheets.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Beat in the eggs, one at a time.
  • Add Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir this mixture into the cocoa mixture until fully incorporated.
  • Fold in Walnuts: Gently fold in the chopped walnuts.
  • Form Cookies: Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto the prepared cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake: Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the cookies are set and firm to the touch.
  • Cool & Dust: Allow the cookies to cool on wire racks. Once cooled, dust with confectioners’ sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, you can add red or green sprinkles on top before baking.
  • If you don’t like walnuts, you can easily substitute them with other nuts like pecans, or omit them for a nut-free version.
