These Caramel Apple Cookies are a delicious fall treat, blending the sweetness of caramel bits with the fresh taste of apples in a soft, chewy cookie. Perfect for autumn gatherings or just a cozy snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup caramel bits
  • 1 cup chopped apple

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cream Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix together baking soda, baking powder, salt, and flour. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Fold in Add-ins: Gently fold in the caramel bits and chopped apple, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Scoop Dough: Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown.
  • Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can use a tart apple variety, such as Granny Smith, for a nice balance of sweet and tangy flavor.
  • For extra caramel flavor, drizzle a little bit of caramel sauce on top of the cooled cookies.
  • These cookies store well in an airtight container for up to a week.
