These decadent Chocolate Peppermint Brownies combine rich, fudgy chocolate with the refreshing zing of peppermint. Topped with melted chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies, they make the perfect festive treat for any occasion.

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Fold in chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
- Spread the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, you can add a drizzle of melted chocolate or a few more crushed peppermint candies on top after baking.
- If you don’t have crushed peppermint candies, you can use peppermint extract for flavor.
