Description

These Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries are the perfect sweet treat, combining juicy, fresh strawberries with rich, smooth chocolate. Simple to make and always a crowd-pleaser, they’re perfect for parties, gifts, or a romantic treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, washed and dried
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate)
  • 2 oz white chocolate (optional, for drizzling)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a smoother coating)

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly. Make sure they are completely dry before dipping to ensure the chocolate adheres properly.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (if using). Heat in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
  • Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, coating about two-thirds of the strawberry. Hold the strawberry by the stem and gently shake off any excess chocolate.
  • Place the dipped strawberry on a parchment-lined baking sheet to set.
  • If using white chocolate for drizzling, melt it in the same manner as the semi-sweet chocolate. Drizzle over the dipped strawberries for a decorative touch.
  • Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature or speed up the process by refrigerating for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Make sure the strawberries are completely dry before dipping, as any water can cause the chocolate to seize up.
  • You can use milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate depending on your preference.
  • For a fun variation, try dipping the strawberries in crushed nuts, sprinkles, or coconut flakes after coating them in chocolate.
