- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 package puff pastry sheets
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chopped walnuts, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until well combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a flat surface and cut into squares (about 3×3 inches).
- Place a spoonful of the ricotta mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the puff pastry over the filling to create a pocket, then seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
- Place the filled puffs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
