- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the sliced onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
- Stir in the dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let cook for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Sprinkle the shredded gruyere cheese over the top and cover until melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can caramelize the onions for a longer time before adding the beef.
- You can substitute gruyere cheese with Swiss cheese if preferred.
