This hearty Kielbasa and Cabbage Soup is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for chilly days. A little paprika adds depth to the flavor, making this soup a cozy family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 head cabbage, chopped
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large pot, cook the sliced kielbasa over medium heat until browned.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot, and sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in the chopped cabbage, sliced carrots, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you prefer a thicker soup, you can mash a portion of the vegetables once cooked and stir them back in.
